"Lotus" Tea Set: 22 pieces by Lomonosov
This product is produced by The Lomonosov (Imperial) Porcelain Factory which was founded in 1744 in Saint-Petersburg during the rule of Empress Elisabeth, Peter the Great's daughter, and became the first porcelain producer in Russia and the third in Europe. Catherine the Great (1762-1796) reorganized the factory in 1765 which is still well known all over Europe under the name of Imperial Porcelain Factory. In 1925 to celebrate a bicentenary of the Russian Academy of Science the Factory was named after Lomonosov the founder of the Academy, who had a lot of influence on the development of special formula of Russian porcelain. Russian Imperial Porcelain and bone china stands apart from any other porcelain in the world for it's supreme quality and unique formula invented in XVIII-th century.
